Starter Kits All the parts you need to make complete sticks. These make great presents if you don't know where to begin yourself and are overwhelmed by all the items on the DIY pages! PLease note that we do not always have made-up kits in the shop so if you want to collect one from us it's best to place an order and select the "collect from shop" shipping option so we can have your order ready when you arrive. |
Each kit comes with basic instructions and you can be sure that all the parts will match up. We have carved a peg on the top end of the shank and drilled a socket in the head/handle so all you need do is line them up and glue them in! The blanks are roughly shaped so you still need to do a fair amount of work to get them finished. You can decide whether to leave the carved heads 'natural' or paint them to look more like the real things. I recommend the book: "Stickmaking, a Complete Course" if you or the person you are buying for have never made sticks before - see the Books page. The pictures below are there to show you what can be made with each kit - obviously your own tools and skill level will determine exactly how your stick finishes up! Please note - no paints or varnishes are included with the kits. |
