Each crook handle is carved from a sinlge piece of hardwood - no bits are stuck on! The crook is attached to a natural shank and finished with a ferrule of your choice.

Subjects carved on the top of the crook make them unsuitable for holding in the hand, but they are perfectly OK for taller sticks held at the base of the handle or for purely decorative sticks.
